Benefits of Membership

Why join?

  • To gain wider knowledge of Hydrocephalus and Spina Bifida. Many members say that they have received a major part of their education in these topics through membership of SRHSB and attendance at Scientific Meetings.

  • Opportunities for young scientists, junior professionals and trainees to meet established researchers in their field in an informal atmosphere, to share ideas and develop collaborations internationally. We have members from over 25 countries.

  • We promote research across the diverse fields of study relevant to these conditions. Spina bifida and hydrocephalus affect most systems in the body and are of interest to almost all healthcare specialties, from neurosurgery, psychology, dementia, nutrition, orthopaedics, urology, continence issues, community care, molecular neurobiology, nursing, dental and optical provision and many others. We aim to promote thinking across the false frontiers that are often set up between these specialties.
